Many commercial cat foods use recycled/reworked meats that were rejected for human consumption. These sub-par meats are then sold to pet food companies where they are further processed and, in the majority of food, fillers are added.

When making homemade cat food, YOU choose the meat so you can ensure your furry child is getting quality, human-grade meats. There’s also no need for fillers when making your own cat food - all ingredients listed in the Superior Feline Homemade Cat Food Supplement Mix are essential nutrients, vitamins and trace minerals to support a healthy diet for your cat.

All ingredients and products except those containing Liver Powder are Human Grade. The only reason the Liver Powder isn’t considered Human Grade is because it’s spray-dried raw. This keeps the nutrients intact, including beneficial enzymes, plus a great flavor profile that your feline companions enjoy. Our Liver Powder products are processed in a USDA-Inspected facility, so you can be assured that it is a high quality ingredient. Only the best for our cats.

Powdered oils add unnecessary additives (like milk and starches) to a product. Oil isn't "magically" powdered - it needs a "carrier" like a milk powder or starch to be bound to it. Powdered forms of Omega-3 have a greater exposure to oxidation which causes rancidity and ultimately causes inflammation in your cat.

While having Omega-3’s in a powdered form is convenient, our focus is what’s best for your cat. This means buying a fresh Omega-3 Oil separately and storing it in your refrigerator to inhibit oxidation.

Purchasing your Omega-3 separately also allows you to choose the type of Omega-3 that’s best for your cat. Have a cat with fish sensitivities or allergies? No worries! Choose Chia Seed Oil instead!

We typically recommend the Wild Anchovy Omega-3 Oil because of the EPA and DHA benefits for cognitive function and vision.

However, if you know or suspect your pet has or may have allergies or sensitivities to fish (or you prefer to keep fish out of their diet) then definitely choose the Organic Chia Seed Omega-3 Oil. This plant-based oil is completely safe for pets and has the highest Omega-3 percentage for plant-based oils.

That's because we like to make sure you have enough product and allow for any variances that might occur. It can be tough to get the exact same amount with every scoop.

We chose compostable packaging because it’s an environmentally beneficial alternative to plastic. Our pouches are made from kraft paper, cellulose, PLA + additional bio-based resins. Even the zipper is compostable!

All of our compostable pouches are certified Industrial Compostable (ASTM 6400 & EN13432 compliant)

The pouches are currently in process of being certified Home Compostable. If you would like to try this in your home composter, it will take around 180 days to decompose 90%.
